Evening primrose oil - Aether, 100ml

Our heavenly and luxurious evening primrose oil (Oenothera Biennis) comes from China and is produced by cold pressing, 100% natural. Supplied in a 100 ml dark glass bottle. The evening primrose plant is native to North America and is known for its beautiful yellow flowers and sweet scent. True to its name, it opens its flowers in the evenings and blooms throughout the night.

In ancient Greek mythology, Aether was the primordial god (protogenos) of light, space and the brightness of the sky. In Hesiod's Birth of the Gods, Aether is the son of Erebus and Nycs and the brother of Hemera. His mother Nyks (personification of night) pulls a dark mist from Erebos across the sky, bringing night below him, while his sister Hemera (day) pulls away the mist to reveal the radiant glow of Aether, bringing day. In Greek mythology, the ether was imagined to be pure essence, the upper air in which the gods lived and breathed. It was thus distinguished from the ordinary air breathed by mortals.

Symbol meaning

Throughout history, the evening primrose has had rich symbolism and spiritual meaning in many cultures. It represents feminine energy and its ruling planet is Venus. The goddess Freya and Artemis in Greek mythology are associated with the evening primrose. It is believed to help you connect with your inner goddess and to attract fairies and bring shelter and protection. In some traditional forms of medicine, evening primrose has been used for its healing properties. Because of this, it is seen as a symbol of healing and health.

In some cultures, the evening primrose flower is believed to have mystical properties and is used in spiritual practices. Some esoteric belief systems have given significance to the evening primrose as a means of encrypted communication. Flowers opening in the evening and closing in the morning have been interpreted to symbolize hidden messages and mysteries. Because evening primrose opens at night, it has also been considered a symbol of intuition and the subconscious. It is related to the world of dreams and deep insights. Seeing this flower in a dream may indicate that the dreamer is on a spiritual journey or needs to connect with their higher self. It can also mean that the dreamer is seeking guidance or answers from a higher power.

Ritual use

Using oils in rituals can help focus and strengthen your abilities. Below as an example, instructions on how to use oil in such rituals:

For the ritual you need:

  • ritual oil
  • a quiet space where you can concentrate
  • candle and matches
  • a small container for oil

Ritual steps:

  • Preparation: Clean and prepare the ritual space, e.g. by burning incense, candles or any other way that helps you focus.
  • Meditation and concentration: Sit in a comfortable position and close your eyes. Take a deep breath and calm down for a moment. Focus on your goal and your new abilities.
  • Preparation of ritual oil: pour a few drops of the oil of your choice into a container. Visualize how the oil is charged with your goals and strengths. You can also consecrate the oil as you wish.
  • Applying the oil: Take the ritual oil on your fingertips and rub it into your hands until you feel its fragrance and energy. Then apply the oil on your body. For example, you can rub it on your temples, wrists, over your heart, chakra points or anywhere else that feels right for your purpose. Do this calmly and consciously, imagining how the oil strengthens and empowers you.
  • Affirmations and Intention: Repeat in your mind or voice affirmations related to achieving and empowering your abilities. For example, you can say, "I am full of power and authority, and I have achieved my goal." This expression communicates that you have achieved your goal and feel strong and empowered after achieving it.
  • Thank you and closing: Give thanks at the end of the ritual and feel grateful for the opportunity to strengthen your abilities. Extinguish the candle, if you used one, and let the energy of the ritual spread around you.
  • Repeat as needed: You can repeat this ritual regularly or as needed when you need strength and empowerment to develop your abilities.

Remember that rituals are personal and you can adapt them according to your own preferences and goals. The most important thing is to stay focused and create a strong connection during the ritual.
