Ritual herbal blend - Ishtar - Dedico
Semiphoras' first-class ritual herbal mixtures are made using traditional methods from pure and organic raw materials; from herbs, seeds, roots, berries and flowers. Carefully selected and consecrated ingredients rich in symbolic meaning are carefully dried, ground and mixed into ready-made herbal mixtures. We recommend using herbal mixtures as part of altar and ritual work and during the Purifico, Dedico and Ascendo phases. Ritual herbal mixtures are also suitable for use as potpourri.
Ishtar, Queen of Heaven, was the most important goddess of Mesopotamia throughout the history of the Land of the Twin Streams. Ishtar was considered the goddess of war and battle in the Egyptian and Assyrian regions, but above all she was the goddess of femininity, beauty, love and fertility. She was also the goddess of Venus, rain and thunderstorms. Ishtar, along with the sun god Shamash and the moon god Sin, was one of the trinity of star gods. Ishtar's symbols were a lion and a star drawn inside a circle with 6, 8 or 16 points. Because of her strong sexuality, Ishtar has been considered especially the protector of prostitutes.
Symbol meaning
The most important ingredients of the sensual and mystical Ishtar-Dedico herbal mixture are:
- Petals of the Midsummer rose (Rosa spinosissima "plena"). The rose variety belonging to the Pimpinella roses is characterized by semi-double, creamy-white flowers that open in Finland at Midsummer. In the rest of the world, the midsummer rose is rare, and its origin has still not been discovered. The rose has been considered a symbol of perfect beauty. The Romans dedicated it to Venus, the goddess of beauty and love, while the Greeks dedicated it to Aphrodite.
- Calyxes of the White Hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa). Tea hibiscus flowers symbolize young new beginnings, love, femininity, affection and beauty. Hibiscus flowers are highly valued by the indigenous people of Polynesia and it is the national flower of Hawaii. In Hinduism, the red hibiscus is considered the name flower of the goddess Kali and is also associated with the god Ganesha.
- Trigonella foenum-graecum (Trigonella foenum-graecum) leaves. Fenugreek has been used since ancient times for flavoring, coloring and medicine. The Egyptians used it in embalming corpses and fenugreek seeds have been found in Tutankhamun's tomb, for example. The Romans used the plant to flavor wine. Fenugreek is also mentioned in the Mishnah (Hebrew, Finnish oppi, teaching), a collection of Jewish oral law and lore, under the Hebrew name of the plant (tiltan). The Mishnah was compiled and written down by the beginning of the 2nd century.

Sprinkle a pinch of the herbal mixture over glowing embers or throw it directly into an open fireplace or campfire.
Ritual Herb Mix - Dedico : Use the Ritual Herb Mix to build an altar or complement and enrich an already existing altar. Strengthen the altar candles by rolling them in a herbal mixture. Sprinkle the ritual herb mixture directly onto the altar, grid, or open container, such as a ritual bowl or seashell. You can also sanctify the desired space by sprinkling the ritual herbal mixture in four different corners of the room. The herbal mixture is also excellently suitable as an ingredient of portable pendants, amulets and Talismans, to remind about the aspirations and the things they represent.
