Ritual herbal blend - Ishtar - Purifico, 15ml

Semiphoras' first-class ritual herbal mixtures are made using traditional methods from pure and organic raw materials; from herbs, seeds, roots, berries and flowers. Carefully selected and consecrated ingredients rich in symbolic meaning are carefully dried, ground and mixed into ready-made herbal mixtures. We recommend using herbal mixtures as part of altar and ritual work and during the Purifico, Dedico and Ascendo phases. Ritual herbal mixtures are also suitable for use as potpourri.

Ishtar, Queen of Heaven, was the most important goddess of Mesopotamia throughout the history of the Land of the Twin Streams. Ishtar was considered the goddess of war and battle in the Egyptian and Assyrian regions, but above all she was the goddess of femininity, beauty, love and fertility. She was also the goddess of Venus, rain and thunderstorms. Ishtar, along with the sun god Shamash and the moon god Sin, was one of the trinity of star gods. Ishtar's symbols were a lion and a star drawn inside a circle with 6, 8 or 16 points. Because of her strong sexuality, Ishtar has been considered especially the protector of prostitutes.

Symbol meaning

The most important ingredients of the sensual and mystical Ishtar-Purifico herbal mixture are:

  • Nettle (Urtica dioica) leaves. Nettle, also called an enemy, has been used as a food and fiber plant for ages. Nettle fibers have been used to tie nets since the Stone Age. As a medicine, nettle has been used in Finland for almost every ailment. The hair has been rinsed with nettle water and the nettle whip has beaten troubles and illnesses away from the body. Nettle has been added to bath water to treat eczema and flaky skin. In Germany, the nettle was associated with Thor, the god of thunder.
  • Centaurea cyanus (Centaurea cyanus) petals . The cornflower symbolizes love, hope, fertility, devotion, loyalty and remembrance. In ancient Egypt, the Syringe symbolizes fertility and life itself. In Tutankhamun's tomb, the pharaoh's chest was decorated with a collar made of olive leaves, poppies and cornflowers.
  • Calendula (Calendula officinalis) petals. The marigold has been seen as a metaphor for sadness, remembrance and despair. On the other hand, the marigold also symbolizes longevity, joy and endurance. Called the bride of the sun, the marigold is associated with summer, the sun and warmth. The petals of the flower have been seen to protect against negative forces and have been sprinkled on the doorstep to prevent evil spirits from entering.

Ritual use

Ritual Herbal Blend - Purifico: Mix a pinch of Ritual Herbal Blend into consecrated water to increase and target a symbolic, purifying effect. Fill a flat container, for example a sounding bowl, with water and sprinkle in the herbal mixture. You can use the ritual herbal mixture to cleanse a sacred area or space by mixing the herbal mixture directly with the washing water. The trial mixture can also be used like incense. Sprinkle a pinch of the herbal mixture over glowing embers or throw it directly into an open fireplace or campfire.

Ritual herbal mixture - Dedico : Use the ritual herb mixture to build an altar or to complement and enrich an already existing altar. Strengthen the altar candles by rolling them in a herbal mixture. Sprinkle the ritual herb mixture directly onto the altar, grid, or open container, such as a ritual bowl or seashell. You can also sanctify the desired space by sprinkling the ritual herbal mixture in four different corners of the room. The herbal mixture is also excellently suitable as an ingredient of portable pendants, amulets and Talismans, to remind about the aspirations and the things they represent.

Ritual Herbal Blend - Ascendo: Mix a pinch of ritual herbal blend into the oil. Oil enhanced with a mixture of herbs can be used in anointing, where an object is anointed with oil to symbolize blessing, sanctification, completion or preparation for something important.
