Pyrite, also known as iron pyrite or "fool's gold," is an iron sulfide. It is the most common of all sulfide minerals. The name pyrite comes from the Greek word "pyritēs" (πυρίτης), meaning "from fire" or "in fire." This name likely originates from the fact that pyrite sparks when struck against steel or flint. Pyrite was historically used in early firearms with a ratchet mechanism.

Crystal points play a significant role in many spiritual traditions. They are used for directing and focusing energy, for example, by placing them in strategic locations or holding them during meditation, where they can guide and amplify energy. Crystal points are also believed to help clear spaces of negative energies and act as a spiritual shield, creating a purifying energy field around them. Additionally, they are thought to promote spiritual growth and a deeper understanding of oneself and the universe, helping the user reach meditative states and deeper insights. Crystal points are seen as tools for connecting to higher energy levels and are used in spiritual practices to communicate with universal wisdom.
Pyrite is a highly positive stone. It is believed to support the utilization of one’s skills and potential, stimulate the flow of new ideas, and help overcome feelings of inertia and inadequacy. When placed on a desk, pyrite is thought to energize its surroundings, supporting the development of large business plans.
This stone teaches you to see beneath the surface and understand the true nature of things, promoting diplomacy. Psychologically, pyrite is believed to alleviate anxiety and frustration while boosting self-esteem and confidence. It can be especially helpful for men who experience feelings of inferiority, as it is thought to enhance self-confidence and masculinity. On the other hand, it may be too powerful for already dominant "macho men," as it is believed to increase aggression. Pyrite helps women break free from servitude and inferiority complexes.
