This exceptionally beautiful and large quartz specimen was formed in calm cavities within the bedrock, where mineral-rich water was able to crystallise undisturbed over millions of years. Quartz grows slowly but steadily, which is why it can form large specimens with clear, well-defined shapes. This crystal is an impressive example of geological time and of how rare natural conditions can create such unique and striking natural formations.
Garden Quartz, also known as Lodolite Quartz or Landscape Quartz, is a trade name for clear quartz that contains visible coloured mineral inclusions. These inclusions can create the impression of a small garden, a misty landscape or natural layers held within the crystal.
