This slab is predominantly blue hawk’s eye. Its colour is created by crocidolite fibres that have remained in their original, unoxidised state. The brown band marks the beginning of fibre oxidation, but the stone is clearly defined by its blue hawk’s eye character. Light enhances the orientation of the fibres and gives the surface a smooth, even sheen.

The transitional zone increases the stone’s interest and desirability, as multi-phase pieces are more sought-after than single-coloured hawk’s eye or tiger’s eye.

Symbolism

Hawk’s Eye is a banded form of tiger’s eye, resembling the sharp gaze of a hawk. It is traditionally associated with grounding earth energy, strengthening the body and supporting broader perception. The stone is linked to insight, clarity and, in some traditions, clairvoyance.

Placed in a room’s wealth corner, it is believed to attract abundance. The wealth corner is the far-left corner from the entrance, either in the whole home or in a single room.

Hawk’s Eye is considered helpful for dissolving negative thought patterns and entrenched behaviours. It encourages a more constructive view of situations and reduces the tendency to blame others. The stone is also thought to surface blocked emotions and discomforts, potentially linked to past lives. When placed at the third eye, it is said to assist in tracing emotions and memories, revealing the roots of emotional blockages.

The small brown band marks the boundary between two symbolic qualities. The blue hawk’s eye area represents clarity and precise observation, while the brown tiger’s eye zone symbolises practicality and grounded action. This boundary reflects the moment when inner vision begins to crystallise into direction and movement.

Use

The slice acts as a calm focal point in spaces where clarity or a lighter atmosphere is desired. In ritual work, it supports moments of focused attention, helping to reduce external noise and give space to insights that are already present but need a clearer frame to emerge. Suitable for collectors and crystal arrangements.
