Fluorite is a crystal composed of calcium fluoride (CaF₂), known for its vibrant colors and natural transparency. It occurs in a wide range of shades, including purple, green, yellow, blue, and even colorless varieties. Due to its striking appearance and variety of forms, fluorite is highly valued by both mineral collectors and gemstone enthusiasts.
Candy fluorite is a particularly colorful and eye-catching variety of fluorite, distinguished by its vivid, layered hues. Its name comes from its resemblance to brightly colored candy — with combinations of purple, green, yellow, blue, and pink, often appearing in stripes or seamlessly blended patterns.
To preserve its beauty, it's best to keep fluorite out of prolonged direct sunlight, as exposure may cause its colors to fade over time.
Symbol meaning
Fluorite is considered a highly protective and harmonizing stone. It is believed to remove negative energies and stress, cleansing and reorganizing anything out of balance in the body. Mentally, fluorite is thought to help dissolve rigid behavioral patterns by gently opening the door to the subconscious.
Fluorite is also associated with the zodiac signs Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Purple fluorite, in particular, is regarded as an excellent meditation stone, believed to combine spirituality with practicality.
Double-terminated wands have points at both ends and are thought to radiate or receive energy simultaneously from both tips, channeling it in two directions. Such wands are seen as symbols of balance, connecting spirit and matter and serving as bridges between two energy centers.
In energy healing, double-terminated wands are used for their believed ability to absorb negative energy and support the release of old patterns, which can aid in addressing addictions, for example.
These wands are also considered tools for integrating parts of the self that have previously been repressed. When placed on the third eye, a double-terminated wand is thought to enhance telepathic connection.
- The thicker, blunter end is the receiving end – this is often called the “female” (feminine energy)
- The thinner, sharper end is the sending end – this is called the “male” (masculine energy).
In practice, this usually means that the female end of the wand is directed toward the user or recipient to receive energy. The male end points outward when the intention is to send or direct energy. When used in meditation or energy work, the energy flow is believed to enter through the female end and exit through the male end—much like a beam of light passing through a lens.
Example of use: Balancing energy centers (chakras)
Purpose: To open and balance the chakras.
How to do it:
- Sit or lie down comfortably.
- Hold the crystal so that the female end (thicker) is pointing towards you and the male end (thinner) is pointing away.
- Place the crystal above one of the chakras at a height of about 5–15 cm.
- Rotate the crystal clockwise slowly (activating the energy flow).
- Feel or visualize the energy flowing in, rotating in the chakra, and releasing blockages through the male head.
- Continue for 2–5 minutes per chakra.
Please note: Crystals and minerals are natural products, so each one is unique. As a result, colors, shapes, and clarity may vary. Light brings out their natural beauty best. Trust that the stones you choose with intuition will resonate best with your personal purpose.
