Symbolic meaning
Eguzkilore (“sunflower” in Basque) is a powerful symbol of protection, light, and life in Basque mythology. The flower’s name refers to the sun, as its shape resembles a radiant sun. This wild silver thistle (Carlina acaulis) has traditionally been hung on the doors of rural homes to ward off witches, evil spirits, illness, and thunderstorms, keeping harm at bay. At its core, the symbol is connected to light — that which reveals, clarifies, and dispels darkness.
In this bracelet, the traditional Eguzkilore symbol is paired with sparkling zirconia stones, highlighting the theme of light and timeless radiance. The warm tone of gold enhances the piece visually; it is traditionally associated with the sun and endurance, strengthening the bracelet’s symbolic meaning as an everyday protector.
Water resistance
Although the bracelet is made from durable materials and can tolerate water, we recommend drying it after exposure and avoiding contact with strong cleaning agents. This will help preserve the bracelet and its details for as long as possible.
