Lavender fluorite is a pale, soft-violet variety of fluorite, known for its gentle hue and glassy luster. Fluorite is composed of calcium fluoride (CaF₂) and belongs to the halide mineral group. It occurs in a wide range of colors – from bright green and blue to yellow, purple, and colorless forms. With a Mohs hardness of 4, similar to marble, it is a relatively soft mineral. Lavender fluorite often forms cubic or octahedral crystals, valued both in jewelry and as a collector’s mineral.
Symbolism
Fluorite is believed to be a highly protective and harmonizing stone. It is thought to dispel negative energies and sources of stress, cleansing and realigning everything in the body that is out of balance. On a psychological level, fluorite is said to release rigid thought patterns and gently open the doorway to the subconscious.
Fluorite is also associated with Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Violet fluorite, in particular, is considered an excellent meditation stone, linking spirituality with practicality.
Symbolically, the wand form represents the element of fire and carries an ancient history across cultures. Wands are mentioned in the Bible, Greek mythology, and witchcraft, and are believed to channel and focus energy — a single point directing it into a concentrated ray.
