Serpentine is a jade-like mineral widely used in sculptures and jewelry. Chemically, serpentine is not nephrite or jadeite, which are considered true jade grades, but its color and polishability make it visually resemble jade.
Serpentine is particularly popular in modern Chinese decorative objects and is mined mainly in the Liaoning and Heilongjiang provinces. Serpentine ranges in color from light green to olive green, and may have brownish or white streaks. Serpentine has a hardness of about 4–6 on the Mohs scale (1–10).
Symbol meaning
The Infinity Stone. Pale green serpentine is considered a gentle-natured stone, thought to support connection with angelic guidance. It is believed to unite the past, present, and future, and is often used for the symbolic exploration of past lives. The stone is said to enhance compassion and forgiveness, especially in relation to oneself and events from the past.
When held, it is experienced as guiding the user into healing realms associated with the state between lifetimes. In these spaces, it is thought to be possible to address and resolve unresolved matters from previous incarnations. The stone is also believed to assist in confronting imbalances tied to earlier lives and to help release emotional burdens carried from past relationships.
The "Infinity Stone" is also used in situations where one wishes to face people or experiences from the past – it is thought to bring gentleness and calming energy to such encounters.
The symbolism of Sphere
The spherical form holds many symbolic meanings across cultures and contexts. In general, the sphere represents wholeness, perfection, and harmony. Its round shape alludes to continuity, eternal motion, and cycles, making it a symbol of timelessness and infinity. The sphere also signifies unity and balance, as every point on its surface is equidistant from the centre.
In many cultural and philosophical traditions, the sphere has been used to symbolise the soul or spirit. It is seen as reflecting the sacred and boundless nature of the soul. Its symmetrical shape is said to represent the soul’s eternal existence.
Meditation with the Infinity Stone
Preparation : Take a light green serpentine stone in your hand or place it on your chest, at the heart. Be careful Make sure your surroundings are calm. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Breathe in deeply and slowly out three times.
- Making the connection: Imagine the stone beginning to radiate a gentle, pale green light. Bring your attention to your heart area and feel that light expand peacefully throughout your chest. Imagine that you are connected to the stone of infinity: gentleness, timelessness, and inner wisdom. Let this connection feel like a quiet certainty in your heart.
- Dimensions of Time: Now imagine that you are standing in an infinite space where three currents flow: past, present and future. You see them meeting near you, in the point of light on the stone. Let these currents flow into you as feelings, vibrations, memories.
Ask:
"What do you want to be seen right now from the past?"
"At what point do I need compassion for myself?"
Do not try to respond verbally, but allow images, feelings, or silence to emerge. Trust that whatever appears, appears with intention. - Soul Rest : Imagine that the light of the stone is guiding you to a state you could call soul rest – a place without demands, roles, or time. Settle into that space as if you were at home. In this space, you can encounter an emotion, memory, or experience that needs to be processed.
Ask:
"What do I want to forgive?"
"What am I willing to let go of?"
Allow forgiveness to arise from a space where nothing is forced. - Decision and Return to the Moment : Gradually return to awareness of your own body. Thank the stone silently within yourself. Imagine how its energy merges with the wisdom of your heart and carries you on.
Take a few more deep breaths. Open your eyes when you are ready. Write down the images that arose during the meditation.
