Conch shell - Charonia tritonis, size M, single piece

The very beautiful shell of a sea conch, the so-called Triton's trumpet (Charonia tritonis) belongs to the triton family (Charoniidae). The large shell has been polished by the movement of the seabed and has acquired a very beautiful patina. About my size. 155mm x 75mm x 60mm. Weight approx. 130g.

Symbol meaning

The shells of this fascinating, horn-shaped sea conch are considered sacred musical instruments in many cultures. For example, the Greek god Triton, messenger of the deep, is often depicted with that seashell. Triton used the shell like a horn to raise or calm the waves of the sea. According to Hyginus, its sound was so terrifying that it made even the giants flee. Triton is the son of the sea god Poseidon and Amphitrite.

Sea snails are born in the depths of the seas and they offer a symbolic connection to the ocean's endless energy, constant movement, representing the beginning of all life . As each conch is its own unique individual, it helps us see the uniqueness of our own lives. Clams and shells may have cracks, be missing parts, or have lost some of their original color. Thus, they remind us that life is not always perfect. Conchs and shells have been an important part of different religions and spirituality throughout the ages, serving as symbols and even ritual objects in, among other things, Christianity, Hinduism, among the indigenous peoples of the Americas and the Pacific, and in the Mediterranean. Conch shells are associated with, among other things, the Omphalos, the pole of the world in ancient Greece, and have been carved into ancient monuments around the world. The characteristic spiral structure of seashells is created in nature according to the rule of the golden section. Their spiral shape creates a force vortex that weaves energy outwards or inwards. It reminds you of the cycle of life, spiritual growth, change and the journey to your inner self. For those who believe in rebirth, seashells represent a new beginning.

Ritual use

On the altar, shells and conch represent the element of water and are placed in the west, with earth in the north, air in the east and fire in the south. Surround your sacred circle with conch or clam shells and call upon the powers of the moon to help you achieve your goals or let go of things that no longer serve you. Use conch and clams during the Purifico phase to amplify the healing power of the water.

Note! Semiphoras seashells and mussels are natural products, j so each of them is its own unique individual. They may have chips, broken parts and dust. The songs come from old private collections or schools. We do not buy, sell or forward new clams, conch shells or their parts, and we do not accept illegal importation of these.
