This magnificent prehistoric fossil is a distal phalanx of a young European bison (Bison bonasus) or Pleistocene wood bison (Bison schoetensacki). Pleistocene , ca. 120,000-11,650 years ago, North Sea. In fair condition. Age-appropriate wear, fractures and chips. Gorgeous light brown patina. Dirt and dust. Fossil treated with protective shellac and beeswax. Approx. 89mm x 57mm x 32mm.
