Selenite plate, Flower of Life and moon phases

This selenite plate combines the Flower of Life pattern with the symbols of the moon phases. It is a wonderful and meaningful tool in various rituals and spiritual exercises.

  • A selenite plate with a "Flower of Life" pattern engraved in the center surrounded by the cycle of the moon phases: New moon -> waxing moon -> full moon -> waning moon
  • The diameter of the plate is 150mm and the height is 20mm

Selenite is hydrous calcium sulfate and one of the four naturally occurring forms of gypsum. Selenite is relatively clear, translucent or white. Thanks to the fiber lines, the light shimmers on its surface, which produces the characteristic appearance of selenite. The name selenite comes from the Greek word σελήνη, which means Moon.

Symbol meaning

Selenite is especially known for its cleansing and spiritual properties. It symbolizes purification and clarity and helps remove negative energies from the mind and environment, leaving behind clarity and purity. It is associated with spiritual growth and enlightenment and is said to help unlock higher levels of consciousness. Selenite strengthens intuition and deepens meditation experiences. It is said to help establish a connection with the higher self. Selenite is believed to clear the mind, open the crown chakra and the upper crown chakra, thus enabling connection with angelic consciousness and higher guidance.

The Flower of Life symbol is a geometric pattern consisting of several overlapping circles forming a symmetrical pattern. This symbol dates back to ancient times and has been found in many different cultures around the world. Flower of Life has been used in many different contexts, such as religious, philosophical and artistic contexts. The symbol has several interpretations in different cultures and religions. For some, it represents the universal life force and energy field, while others see it as symbolizing harmony and balance. For some it has to do with divine creation and the manifestation of the basic forms of the universe.

One common interpretation is that the Flower of Life depicts the basic structure of the universe and its complex network. It symbolizes the connection between all life and universal harmony. In some belief systems, it is believed that by looking at this symbol or meditating with it, one can achieve a deeper connection with the energy of the universe and better understand the ultimate nature of existence.

The phases of the moon have played a central role in many rituals and religious practices in different cultures around the world. Each phase of the moon, such as new moon, waxing moon, full moon, and waning moon, symbolizes different things and qualities, and these can influence the purpose and goal of the rituals. Here is the generally accepted symbolism for each moon phase:

  • The new moon symbolizes new beginnings, potential and opportunities. The new moon is a time to clean, set goals and start new projects. Rituals during this moon phase can focus on attracting new energy and setting goals.
  • The waxing moon symbolizes growth, action and the energy of initiation. It's a good time to take the first steps towards your goals and take action to achieve them. Rituals at this stage can focus on strengthening motivation and progress.
  • The full moon symbolizes fulfillment, power and flourishing. The full moon is a time to celebrate achievements and feel powerful energy. Full moon rituals can focus on expressing gratitude, strengthening personal power, and releasing emotions.
  • The waning moon symbolizes ending, release and letting go. It's time to let go of old goals, habits or obstacles that no longer serve. Rituals during this moon phase can focus on cleansing, releasing old burdens and making new space in life.

Different belief systems and cultures may have different interpretations of the meanings of the moon phases and the use of rituals. In addition, individual preferences and goals can influence how each phase of the moon is considered in rituals.
